Right from the start, the idea behind DELUXE was to put together a band of experienced musicians- members who love to play, are at once seasoned, professional, and can also deliver high-caliber performances consistently. Members of Deluxe have played in bands that have opened for national acts, worked as session musicians, and have played at major venues all over Canada and the USA. And just musicianship alone was not enough: candidates also had to be able to deliver quality lead vocals! Deluxe is a rare combination, to be sure. But this tough criteria has created a unique and flexible band, with superb harmonies and a repertoire of music that literally spans many decades of popular songs: from the fifties and sixties all the way up to right now. Danceable music that includes Oldies, Motown, Beach/Surf, Classic Rock, Country, Ballads, Disco, Current Hits, and we play it all no matter what the occasion big or small.

BUT there is a final piece to Deluxe we haven't touched on yet- chemistry. On stage, Deluxe has a charisma that is contagious. They don't disdain the hits: they play them. They have a genuine friendship and enjoy playing together, and it comes through in the music. Bottom line, they make the music danceable with audience participation too.
